Penny Clum Glacy, MS, RYT
Owner, Saco River Yoga
Penny offers classes in Ashtanga Yoga, Mindfulness Yoga, and Yoga Nidra and believes there is
a way that every person can approach yoga as a means of affecting growth physically, mentally,
and spiritually. She has trained primarily with the reknowned Ashtanga teacher, Beryl Bender
Birch, and with Yogi Amrit Desai, the founder of the Kripalu Institute. She has also studied
Ashtanga yoga with David Swenson, Richard Freeman, and David Williams. Along with Penny’s
love of yoga, her professional background in chemical engineering and biochemistry have
fostered her interest in the connection between mind, body, and spirituality as well as holistic
healing. Penny plays Native American flutes and other wind instruments with her husband,
Todd Glacy, under the name Feel Factor ( http://www.feelfactormusic.com ). Together they
record and perform meditative ‘spirit’ music which Penny uses in her yoga and meditation
classes.
